Mildred E. (Schott) "Mimi" Carbo, age 86, companion of the late Francis A. "Gaggy" D'Antonio, of Royersford, PA died Friday morning, January 3, 2014 in the Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA. Born in Lower Frederick, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elva (Sacks) Schott. Mrs. Carbo attended St. Ann's School in Phoenixville. She co-owned and operated the former D'Antonio's Restaurant in Spring City for many years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Royersford. Mrs. Carbo was an avid bowler, enjoyed going to the casinos in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Mrs. Carbo is survived by four children: M. Louise, wife of Michael T. Yacovelli, of Royersford; Carole A. Feulner, of Royersford; Tonya M. Hogga, of Linfield; Anthony F. Carbo, of Royersford; three siblings; Clyde Noel, of California; Helen "Jackie" Bontempo, of Trooper; Edith Osiol, of Mont Clare; twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lewis Road at Walnut Street, Royersford, PA on Thursday morning, January 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held privately in the St. Ann Cemetery at a later date. Friends will be received from 9:15 - 10:45 AM, Thursday morning at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the "JDRF" - Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, 26 Broadway, New York, NY 10004.
