Mildred (Brown) Meredith, 92, Great Animal Lover

Mildred (Brown) Meredith, 92, wife of William W. Meredith, of South Coventry, passed away on Sunday evening, September 23, 2012, in the Pembrooke Health and Rehabilitation Residence, West Chester. Born in Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Francis F. and Esther (Wilson) Brown.

Mildred graduated from West Chester High School, Class of 1938, and was employed by Valley Maid in Phoenixville for 15 years. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Spring City. She enjoyed eating at the Ridge Restaurant in Bucktown and was a great lover of animals, especially cats and her cat, Andrea.

In addition to her husband, with whom she shared 72 years of marriage, Mildred is survived by her son, Larry E. husband of Lois H. Meredith, of Claymont, DE; three grandchildren, Laurel Christine, Noelle Suzanne and Darryl William Meredith; and her Goddaughter, Beverly Brittingham.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 952 Bethel Church Road, Spring City, PA 19475, on Friday, September 28, 2012, at 12:00 pm, with the Rev. Jacqueline A. Hines officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Friends will be received from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Bethel United Methodist Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home.
