Obituary

Mildred M. (Thomson) Johnson, 81, wife of the late Curtis R. Johnson, of East Coventry, formerly Parker Ford, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Coatesville, she was a daughter of the late Jesse C. and Mildred Frances (Smith) Thomson.

Mrs. Johnson was a 1947 graduate of Coatesville High School and received a B.S. in Home Economics in 1951 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was employed as a teacher, assistant dietician at Phoenixville Hospital, and in her later years, a seamstress at her home, making women's tailored clothing. She was a member of the Spring City United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by four daughters: Constance wife of David Yarnall of Avondale, Lee Ann wife of John Mihalcik of Pottstown, Shirley wife of Craig Walton of Elverson, and Margaret Ann wife of Eric Hopewell of West Lawn; nine grandchildren: Michael, Ronald, Christopher, Stephen, Lucas, Cory, Selena, Lindsey, and Haley; five great grandchildren, Devon, Amanda, Cameron, Madison, Evan; and one great great granddaughter: Talena. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Carol L. Johnson; sister: Martha Volk; and brother: Jesse Thomson Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Kerry Bart. Friends will be received from 7:00-7:30p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to the Spring City United Methodist Church, 45 N.
