Obituary

Mona Lisa Brown, age 75, of Mont Clare, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Born on July 18, 1950 in Norristown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Helen V. (Spence) and Winfield Brown, Sr.

Mona was a graduate of Norristown High School, class of 1968. She received a nursing scholarship and continued her education by attending Gwynedd Mercy University. Around the same time, she was just beginning her life with Eugene Butler, expecting a baby boy, when Eugene unexpectedly passed away. Mona lovingly raised her son, Stanley, all while working as a meat packer for American Food Service for 23 years until a disability ended her career in 1987. Prior to her disability, Mona took pleasure in gardening, cooking, and keeping an immaculate home.

Mona was a devoted and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lansdale. She was a warm hearted and gentle spirited woman who always provided support and encouragement to those she encountered.

Mona is survived by one son, Stanley M. Brown; two grandchildren, LaTasha, affectionately called "Girlfriend" by Mona and Amani, affectionately called "Partner" by Mona; her goddaughter, Hope Robinson; one sister and brother-in-law, Olivia, wife of Frank Ranieri; nieces and nephew, Louwanna, wife of Jeffrey Beauford, Lisa, wife of Patrick Dillon, and Eric, husband of Erin Ranieri; and a host of additional nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Alvin Perry, Winfield Brown Jr., Gwendolyn Brown, and Steven Brown.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Calvary Baptist Church, 1380 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, Pennsylvania on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Jury. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 9:00 AM-10:45 AM in the church on Friday morning.

Those acting as pallbearers will include: Darian Smith, Aaron G. Woodbury, Jr., Ronald Wells, Dennis Edsell, Terry Dudley, Duane Jones, and Ralph Mitchell.
