Obituary

Myrtle Rahn (Funk) Derix, age 74, wife of the late Carl D. Derix, Jr., of Spring City, PA died Saturday afternoon, April 11, 2009 in the Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA. Born in Collegeville, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Virginia (Rahn) Funk. She was a 1953 graduate of the Collegeville High School. She worked as the head bookkeeper for the former Collegeville Bank. She married Carl on October 5, 1957. She opened the Derix gift shop in Spring City. Later in life Myrtle started an office cleaning company which served the Spring City and surrounding areas. She was a member of the Berean Bible Church.

Mrs. Derix is survived by two sons; Gregory A. Derix, of Spring City, Mark D., husband of Renee (Keller) Derix, of, North Coventry, PA, two grandchildren; Mark R. and Nathan D. Derix. two sisters; Erma R. Lytle, of NC, Pearl R. Funk of Lansdale, PA, and one brother; Elmer R. Funk, Mrs. Derix was pre-deceased by one sister; Florence R. Seese.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Wedneday, April 15, 2009 at 11AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Jace L. Erb. Burial will be in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford, PA. Friends will be received from 10 - 11AM, Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
