Nancy L. Lear, age 79, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Meadowview Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Lafayette Hill, PA. Born on February 6, 1947, in Phoenixville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ellsworth and Elizabeth (Johnson) Lear.

Nancy attended Phoenixville Area High School before moving to Massachusetts. She was a 1965 graduate of Bridgewater Raynham Regional High School in Bridgewater, MA, and she went on to attend Wilberforce University, Wilberforce, Ohio. Although she did not graduate from Phoenixville High School, she regularly attended their class reunions.

Nancy worked at the Phoenixville Area Children's Learning Center on Main Street as a daycare instructor for nearly 50 years. The children she taught over the years brought her great joy each and every day.

Nancy was a gifted artist who enjoyed drawing, and she was a talented designer of her own Halloween costumes many years. She loved to walk and could often be seen throughout Phoenixville. She was a proud fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and collected countless team items. She also enjoyed old-school music, traveling, trying new things, and antique cars. Prior to her illness, she had a sharp mind and was known for her quick wit and great sense of humor. Most importantly, she loved her family and cherished the memories she shared with them. She briefly attended Bethel Baptist Church and often spoke of how she enjoyed the fellowship with friends and hearing the Word.

Nancy is survived by three siblings: Ellsworth Lear of Oakland, CA; William Lear of Boston, MA; and Diane, wife of Alfred Brown, of Phoenixville, PA; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by eleven siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Nancy's memorial service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 6:00 pm. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the funeral home on Thursday.
