Nancy S. Tunnicliffe, age 87, of Pottstown, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, November 18, 2016 in Pennsburg Manor. Born on March 1, 1929 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Merz) Thomas.

Nancy was a 1946 graduate of the former Royersford High School, where she was class Valedictorian. She received her associate's degree from Drexel University and had been employed as a legal secretary in Norristown and Pottstown, before marrying and having children. A homemaker, Nancy loved to buy, sell and trade antiques. She was a talented silversmith who made custom made jewelry. Nancy was well read with a vast knowledge of many broad interests. She excelled in all sorts of arts and crafts, was an amateur artist and writer. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren, family and friends.

Mrs. Tunnicliffe is survived by her children: Cecily Joan Yarosz, of Pottstown and James D. Tunnicliffe of Royersford; grandchildren: Zachary Yarosz, of Baltimore and Carly Yarosz, of Pottstown.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Paul H. Neff. Inurnment will follow in the Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia. Friends will be received from 10:30 - 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.
