Natalie M. Meaney, 84, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at her home. She was the widow of Francis X. Meaney Sr., who died in 1994.
She was born in Manchester, NH to the late Daniel J. Sr. and Bertha (Robinson) Quirk. She was a graduate of Manchester Central High School and Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Meaney worked as a registered nurse in pediatrics and as a visiting nurse before retiring to raise her family. She also worked along with her husband as owner/operators of Meaney’s Carpets.
Mrs. Meaney was a member of St. Isaac Jogues R. C. Church for 38 years. She loved vacationing with family in New Hampshire. She was an avid reader, excellent cook, and expert knitter who also enjoyed swimming, antiquing, making hooked and braided rugs, sewing, watercolor painting and pick-your-own.
She is survived by her children: Daniel J., (Lisa); John E., (Estelle); Maura A. and Megan P. Meaney; grandchildren: Chloé, Julie, James, Catherine, Daniel and Sarah; brothers: Daniel J. Jr., (Barbara) and Edmond W. “Ned”, (Roxanne) Quirk. She was also predeceased by her son, Francis X. Meaney Jr.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Isaac Jogues R.C. Church, 50 W. Walker Rd., Wayne, PA 19087. Officiating will be Rev. Stephen Moerman. Visitations will be on Friday evening from 7-8:30 PM at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main St. at Fifth Ave., Phoenixville, PA and on Saturday at the church from 9:15-10:15 AM. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Shelter, 209 Emmett St. Phoenixville, PA 19460.
