Noel (Byrne) Friday, 64, of Phoenixville, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011, in her residence. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was a daughter of the late Mary Florence (Sheridan) and Walter C. Byrne II.
Mrs. Friday received her B.A. in English Literature from Gwynedd-Mercy College. A homemaker most of her life, she was extremely family oriented with both her immediate and extended family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a TV and movie buff, loved music, and had an avid interest in politics. She loved to express herself through her journal writing, paintings, and drawings for her grandchildren. She was employed at National Liberty Credit Union in Frazer for five years where was very proud to be quickly promoted and was popular with staff and customers.
Mrs. Friday is survived by two daughters: Erin wife of Michael Arena of Collegeville and Carrie wife of Michael Eastwick of Morgantown; one son: Jeffrey husband of Christine Friday of Exton; five grandchildren: Jordan, Christopher, Madelynne, Leah and Luke; four sisters: Pamela Byrne, Mary Ann Byrne, Nan Blake and Susan Marks; five brothers: Walter III, William, Paul, R. Brent and Michael Byrne; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husband Kenneth A. Friday.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 8, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, Rt. 100 and Fellowship Road, Chester Springs, with Msgr. Thomas Mullin officiating. Family and friends will be received from 8:45-9:45 a.m. at the Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc.
