Nora M. (White) Zajac, age 73, wife of the late W. Mitchell Zajac, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 7, 2020 in the Chester County Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 8, 1947 in New York, New York, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Mary White.
Nora nourished, entertained and cared for thousands of people through a lifetime in the hospitality industry: owning and operating her own catering company, working in various fine-dining establishments and building a successful bed and breakfast from the ground up. Nora was also a dedicated member of the Valley Forge Baptist Church for many years; she was involved in many church groups and organizations. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and dear friend to all, and she will be missed by many.
Nora is survived by her two sons, Daniel (Nicole) Hedgecock, and Noel (Megann) Hedgecock; four brothers, Roger, Gregory, Neil, and Thomas; one sister, Diane Starke; seven grandchildren, Kaleigh, Elizabeth, Hunter, Patrick, Anne, Zoey, and Emma Hedgecock. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nora was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia (Patsy) Ducey.
Relatives are invited to attend the graveside service at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 West Neversink Road, Reading, Pennsylvania on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11:00 am.
