Obituary

Norman Earl Jarrett, age 100, husband of Jane Jarrett of King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 surrounded by family. Born in West Chester, he was the son of Bertha (Olinger) and Boyd Jarrett.

Mr. Jarrett served in the US Navy stationed in the south Atlantic during WWII. After being honorably discharged, Norman received his degree from Drexel University and worked as a manager where he loved interacting with people at various textile manufacturing companies. He was passionate about music and gave private woodwind lessons to students in the
community. He was a member of the Norristown Band and on weekends played sax with his friends in a jazz group. Norman also sang tenor in the choir at church with his brothers. Playing bridge was a favorite pastime which he enjoyed with his wife. After retiring he found a part time job at a law firm to continue furthering his banter with coworkers. His pleasure in the summer was on Long Beach Island where he found joy in swimming, often in the ocean far off the shoreline, much to Jane's chagrin. Later in life he developed a passion for the local Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies and the Eagles.

He is survived by his wife Jane (Evans) Jarrett, his children Karen Dunmore, Barbara Vondercrone, Nancy Reigel (Doug), Robert Jarrett (Judith), his twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his four brothers Doyle, Boyd, Harold and Edward, all who lived into their 90s.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Monday, March 25, 2024.
