Orpha K. (Sickles) Mackey, 66, of Wilmore, PA, formerly Pottstown, PA passed away on Sunday afternoon, June 8, 2014, in the Paoli Hospital. She was the wife of the late wife Robert W. “Bob” Mackey, who passed away in 2009. Born in Spangler, PA, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Orpha (Greene) Sickles.

Mrs. Mackey was a 1966 graduate of Central Cambria High School. She had been employed as a nurse’s aide at Parkhouse Providence Pointe until her retirement. Orpha was a member of the Compassionate Friends and the Wilmore Fire Company Auxiliary.

Orpha enjoyed shopping and loved dogs, especially her own which she considered her babies. She also had a passion of helping others in their time of need.

Mrs. Mackey is survived by her siblings, Michael W., husband of Dawn Sickles, of Saginaw, Michigan, Patti A. Bolvin, of Ebensburg, PA, Phyllis M. Thomas, of Ebensburg, PA, and William J., husband of Carol Sickles, of Flinton, PA; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Ann Sickles.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford. Officiating will be the Pastor Anthony Etzel. Friends will be received from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
