Otto Karl Findeisen, 88, husband of Mary C. Steiner, of Royersford, passed away Peacefully at home on Saturday.? Born in Chemnitz, Germany, he was a son of the late Otto and Anna (Selma) Findeisen.?
Mr. Findeisen was a 1936 graduate of Spring City High School. Along with his three brothers, he was owner of the former Findeisen Hosiery Mill, Inc., on Penn Street in Spring City, manufacturing full fashion stockings.
He served during World War II in the Army Air Corp, 91st Professional Air Service Group in the CBI Theatre, China, India , Burma and the ATO American Theatre Operation.? He received the A.T.O. Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the CBI Medal and Ruptured Duck Honorable Discharge.?
Mr. Findeisen was a life member of the Liberty Fire Co, Spring City , the Boyertown American Legion Post 471, and bowled in leagues for the Boyertown American Legion, Zion Lutheran Church, and PA States.? A self taught avid golfer, he was a past member of Meadowbrook Golf Club, taught his wife and nephew, and made a hole-in-one at George Washington Golf Course in 1985.?
In addition to his loving wife of 19 years, he is survived by two step-children, four granddaughters, sister Anna Weidner, of Michigan, sister-in-law Marguerite Findeisen, of Spring City, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.? He was preceded in death by brothers Bill, Alfred, and Kurt. ?
