Obituary

Parker Ford Malenke, age 99, husband of the late Marie (High) Malenke, of Parker Ford, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2022. Born on May 23, 1923 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Ambrose and Elsie (Scholl) Malenke. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his time in the service Mr. Malenke worked in the family owned Parker Ford Bakery and later as a Truck Driver for Jones Motor until his retirement.

For many years Parker was a Boy Scout leader. As a member of Limerick Chapel he taught Sunday School and was a leader in boys Brigade. He found great joy in spreading his love for Jesus to children. He worked alongside his wife leading Children's Bible Clubs in local public schools and continued that ministry until the age of 93 as a member of Calvary Baptist church of Pottstown.

Mr. Malenke loved the outdoors. He and the family traveled all over the United Stated camping and visiting historical sites, natural wonders and collecting rocks for his extensive rock and arrowhead collection. He also cut and polished rock specimens to make jewelry that he gave as gifts to family and friends. Parker enjoyed beekeeping, fishing, and photography. He gave talks about rocks and bees to many school groups. Every summer he and Marie would host their grandchildren for a few weeks taking them to the mountains, the beach, and swimming/fishing in nearby Pigeon Creek.

Parker was known for his love of country, family, friends, and most importantly his love for his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mr. Malenke is survived by two Daughters, Donna (Larry) Seelig, Sally A. Malenke; Son, Neal Todd (Patti) Malenke; Brother, Galen (Mary) Malenke; and Grandchildren; Shadow, Shade, West, Hope, Jael, Nathan, and Aaron.
