Patricia A. (Smith) Johns, age 76, wife of Bobby R. Johns, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on August 29, 1939 in Coal City, WV, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Maggie (Bolen) Smith.

A graduate of Stoco High School in Coal City, WV, Mrs. Johns loved reading and traveling, especially returning to West Virginia where she grew up. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cruising the Caribbean. She often vacationed in North Myrtle Beach spending most of her time on the beach beginning at sunrise, her favorite time of day.

More importantly, those who knew Pat know that she loved people; she developed friendships everywhere she went and her home was always open. Unfailingly generous, Pat gave whatever she had when she saw a need. Pat lived life fully and well; she loved to laugh and wasn't afraid to laugh at herself. Pat was fun and loyal and strong; her legacy of love will continue to be lived out in all the lives she's touched.

Mrs. Johns is survived by four children, Brenda Cox, wife of Ross Lilly of Gilbertsville, PA, Ken Cox, Jr., husband of Kim of Lexington, SC, David Cox, husband of Michelle of Royersford, PA, and Tammy Carbone, wife of Vinnie of Collegeville, PA; five step-children, Bobby Johns, Jr., Jeanette Johns-Lit, Kathryn Rocco, Karyn Johns, and Kimberly Johns; three sisters, Linda Reed, Neda Hughes, and Rita Pompie; seventeen grandchildren, Karl Hertzog, Jr., Jason Hertzog, Kelly Morley, Joshua Cox, Braden Cox, James Doelp, Cory Kaine, Laura Hughes, Allison Carbone, Bobby Johns, III, Timmy Johns, Melissa Johns, Jadon Lit, Nikki Hanson, Kiah Wright, Zac Wright, Devon Mabry, Dominic Rocco, Dani Rocco, and Rheo Rocco; eight great-grandchildren, Karl Hertzog, III, Noah Hertzog, Sophia Hertzog, Emma Hertzog, Jason Hertzog, Jr., Elijah Morley, Alexis Morley, and Aubrey Wood; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11:00 am. Burial will be held in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home.
