Patricia Marie (McDermott) McNichol, age 53, wife of Robert J. McNichol, of Schwenksville, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in the Phoenixville Hospital after a courageous battle over the last eight years with breast cancer. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late John J. McDermott Sr. and Claire (Carr) McDermott.

Mrs. McNichol was a graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School, and attended LaSalle University. In her early years, she worked as an administrative assistant. Recently, she and her husband were the owner/operators of a cleaning service.

She was very outgoing, and was always able to put a smile on your face. She constantly remained positive in her outlook on life, and always put others needs before her own. In spite of her many setbacks in the course of her disease, she never gave up and never complained. Mrs. McNichol loved spending time with her family and watching the Philadelphia Eagles.

In addition to her husband of 20 years, she is survived by one sister, Diane M., wife of Mark Dinan, of Chester Springs, PA; one brother, John J. "Jack" McDermott Jr., husband of Camille, of Philadelphia; nieces and nephews, Matthew, Sean, and Kylee Dinan and Jack, Melissa and Meghan McDermott.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service in the St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 7 St. Andrew's Lane, Glenmoore, PA 19343 on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Elsa Hale Mintz. Friends will be received in the church from 9:00-11:00 AM.
