Paul A. Brunner, Sr., age 67, of Phoenixville, husband of Barbara E. (Cole) Brunner, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008, in the Chester County Hospital, West Chester.? Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Harry S. and Rose (Varadi) Brunner.?
Mr. Brunner attended school in Phoenixville.? He was employed as a maintenance supervisor for the Phoenixville Recreation Department for 25 years.? He served in the United States Navy as a helicopter mechanic aboard the AGB USS Edisto in the Antarctic during Operation Deep Freeze from 1960-1961.? Mr. Brunner's passion was running the softball league at the Phoenixville YMCA and he was an avid bowler, and had an interest in archery, firearms, and golf. ???????
In addition to his loving wife of 44 years, Mr. Brunner is survived by daughter Sherry (Brunner), wife of Randall Henry, of Phoenixville, son Paul A. Brunner, Jr., of Phoenixville, brothers Elmer Brunner of Douglassville and Oscar Brunner of East Coventry, two grandchildren, Amy Miskiewicz and Kevin Henry, and several nieces.?
