Paul Joseph Forrest, 82, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse. He was the husband of the late Irene (Smith) Forrest.

He was born in Cork City, Ireland to the late Edward and Catherine (Bradley) Forrest. While in Ireland was a member of the Irish Army Defence Forces, a postman in Cork and pub manager in the United States. He was also associated with the Irish Legion.

After emigrating to the United States, he was associated with the Cape May Emerald Society, The Elks and Ancient Order of Hibernians. He was a talented singer known throughout South Jersey, where he helped make famous the North Wildwood Irish Festival. He was also an avid author, bowler, an golfer. He was also a Eucharistic Minister for churches in New Jersey and was the guide to many friends and family on trips to Ireland. He will be lovingly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his daughters: Carole Malloy (Stephen), of Phoenixville and Kathleen Petack (James), of Oley, PA; step-sons: Charles Ganjamie (Susan), of Chester, New Jersey and John Ganjamie (Barbara), of Sanatoga, PA; grandchildren: Sean, Caitlin, Patricia, Thomas, Karen, David and Kimberly; great-grandchildren: John "Jack" IV and David. There are also siblings: Rita Roche (Christy) and Liam (Freda) Forrest both of Ireland and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by siblings: Sean, Eamonn (Theresa), Charlie, Jimmy, Baby Ann and Baby Liam and step-daughter: Joan Crothers (Robert, of Florida)

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011 evening from 5-7 PM at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA and from 8:30 to 9:15 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at St. Ann Chapel, Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM with Rev. John J. Newns officiating. Burial will be in Ireland.
