Paul F. Gallagher Sr., age 78, husband of the late Maryellen F. (Gibson) Gallagher, of Pottstown, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, Pottstown. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Emmanuel and Catharine (Darby) Gallagher.

Mr. Gallagher graduated from St. Matthew's High School in Conshohocken and attended Villanova University. He served in the United States Navy. Mr. Gallagher was a member of the St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church in Pottstown. His loves were many; gardening, college basketball, making soup, bird watching, word puzzles, Shark Tank and the Phillies. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandson.

Mr. Gallagher is survived by five children, Paul F. Gallagher Jr. of Ocean City, NJ, Joseph E., husband of Sherry Gallagher of Spring City, PA, Richard A., husband of Karen Gallagher of Pottstown, PA, Maryellen E. Shiposki of Pottstown, PA, and Timothy, husband of Sarah Gallagher of Wilmington, DE; siblings and spouses, Cass and Bill, Buzz and Mary, Joe and Trudy, Mary and (Gene, deceased), Trish and Ed, and Eileen and Jack; grandchildren, Dylan, Morgan, Andrew, Ethan, Ryan, Kiernan, Darby, Gavin, Max, Jake, and Luke; great grandson Archer; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2101 Pottstown Pike, Pottstown, PA 19465 on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30-10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Phoenixville Cancer Center, 824 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
