Paul Hicks, III, age 67, husband of Della (Stallings) of Mont Clare, PA died early Wednesday morning, June 2, 2010 at home. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of Paul Hicks Jr., and Dorothy Marie (Washington) Hicks, of Phoenixville. He attended the Phoenixville High School. Mr. Hicks was a tractor trailer driver all of his life. He worked for the National Rolling Mill in Great Valley, then worked for the Wonder Bread Company in Norristown until his retirement in 2009. Mr. Hicks was an avid automobile enthusiast. He enjoyed drag racing at Maple Grove Raceway. Mr. Hicks was a member of the Mont Clare Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his parents and wife of 33 years, Mr. Hicks is survived by one daughter; Charnelle L. Hicks, wife of Sidney Palmer, of Upper Frederick Township, PA, one son; Paul Hicks, IV, husband of Amy Tierney, of Mont Clare, PA, ten siblings; Sandra Young, Arlene Spence, Cynthia (Philip) Pitchford, Brenda (the late Steven) Nixon, Curtis, Gary, Bruce, Darryl, Barbara (John) Munnings, David (Yolanda) Hicks, three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Campbell??"Ennis??"Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday morning, June 8, 2010 from 9:30-10:30AM. Funeral services and burial will be held privately in the Morris Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
