Paul D. Postell, 87, of Royersford, passed away, surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at his home. He was the husband of Madeline R. (Kurtz) Postell.

Paul was born in Perkasie to the late Paul B. and Frieda (Vogel) Postell. After graduating from Schwenksville High School, he served in World War II under Admiral Radford as a Quartermaster aboard the aircraft carriers Ticonderoga and Yorktown. Upon his return, he learned the cabinetmaking trade at Bush Brothers and went on to work as a Superintendent at Stofflet and Tillotson of Glenside.

Always inseparable from his loving wife, they were the biggest sportsfans of their children and grandchildren. Paul was a master craftsman who loved woodworking, particularly creating family heirlooms; supporting family home projects; fishing; hunting and cheering for the Phillies. He was also a member of Sanatoga and Friendship Fire Companies and the Collegeville VFW.

In addition to his wife of sixty-four years, he is survived by his children and spouses: Ed and Becky Postell, of Collegeville; Jim and Ann Postell, of Brisbane, Australia; Ron and Gina Postell, of Douglassville; and Pam and Vince Marino, of Limerick; sister: Isabelle Mangal, widow of Harvey, of Colmar, PA; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by a sister, Rose Ensminger and brother, Edward Postell.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 11 AM at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11 AM. Burial will be private.
