Obituary

Peter J. Fifer, age 79, husband of Elizabeth A. (Overstreet) Fifer, of Birchrunville, PA, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023 in the Pottstown Hospital - Tower Health. Born on July 19, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Leticia (Ashworth) and Rev. Philip Fifer.

Mr. Fifer was a 1962 graduate of Phoenixville High School. He went on to receive his Bachelor's degree in Physics from Bucknell University in 1966. Mr. Fifer honorably served during the Vietnam War in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Captain, from 1968-1969.

He was the owner and broker of Peter J. Fifer Real Estate in Phoenixville, and he was a faithful member of the St. Peter's Episcopal Church.

Mr. Fifer had a love for photography and historical reading. He was a talented woodworker and a model train enthusiast, two hobbies he was proud to share with his grandchildren. Mr. Fifer was also an astronomer and had a fascination of all things in the sky. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends creating memories that will be cherished by all those who knew him.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, Mr. Fifer is survived by three children, Andrew P., husband of Kathleen Fifer, Katharine M., wife of Nathan Heess, and Margaret A. Arsenich, partner of Kelle Smith; nine grandchildren, Philip (Alee), Rebecca (Collin), Zachary, Victoria, Jacob, Benjamin, Aaron, Caleb, and Ethan; three great-grandchildren; two siblings, William Fifer and Katharine, wife of Horace Kircher; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death three siblings, Helen Magargle, Christine Ziegler, and Henrietta Sparano.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 121 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Father Samuel Ndungu. Friends will be received in the Church from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Burial will be held privately.
