Phyllis Ann (Reinford) Shaner, age 72, wife of Ronald Preston Shaner Jr., of Pottstown, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 in the Pottstown Hospital. Born on February 23, 1950 in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Evelyn (Bernhardt) and Paul Reinford.

As a young adult, she coached the Coventry League girls softball team and worked as a clerk and salesperson for Royal Jewel Box jewelry store in Pottstown. Later, she worked for almost 15 years as a front end supervisor at the Pottstown Kmart, retiring in 2010. She was a longtime, active member of Pughtown Baptist Church, where she served in many roles, including on the Trustee, Deaconate, and Missions boards. She also had been a volunteer with White Cross. Phyllis loved playing softball and watching baseball, enjoyed trips to the shore with her family, and enjoyed talking with people, both friends and strangers.

In addition to her loving husband, Phyllis is survived by two daughters: Laura M., wife of Nishon Yaghoobian, of Claymont, DE and Amanda J. Shaner, of Pottstown; one son: Ronald Preston Shaner III, of Ambler; three grandchildren: Nishon Jr., Lia and Aram Yaghoobian; four brothers: John M. (Sally) Reinford, of Exeter, Paul B. (Darlene) Reinford, of Pottstown, Horace (Marian) Reinford, of Boyertown and Timothy Reinford, of Exeter; and one sister: Faye (Reinford) Lachman, of Pottstown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Reinford.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford. Officiating will be the Rev. Timothy Schwartz. Inurnment will be held privately in the Pughtown Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home. A time of sharing and refreshments will be held after the memorial service at Branch Life Church, 780 Pughtown Road, Spring City.
