Obituary

Phyllis May Terrell, age 99, loving wife of the late James H. Terrell and the late Carrol "Bucky" Swearer, of Spring City, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in the Southeastern Veterans' Center surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 5, 1920 in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Helen (Pierce) Wilcox.

Phyllis worked as a supervisor for the Pennhurst State Hospital for over 27 years. After her retirement she would later move to Florida and joined the local "Pennsylvania Club" in the area. In her spare time she enjoyed painting, and creating artwork of her own; she would also stay active by playing tennis. swimming, and biking. She also loved to travel the world on cruises whenever she had the opportunity. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and dear friend to all and she will be missed by many.

Mrs. Terrell is survived by two children, Carol L., wife of Frank Spitz Jr. of Cambridge, MD and Robert M. III, husband of Elaine Deger of Phoenixville, PA, one sister, Marian Presgrave of Douglassville, PA; six grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving niece Susan Swearer of Phoenixville, PA, and many additional loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by one grandson, Matthew Spitz; and her siblings, Alice Reifinger, Lawrence Wilcox, Wayne Wilcox, Howard Wilcox, and Robert Wilcox.

A memorial service will take place for Phyllis at a later date. Burial will be held privately in the Valley Forge Baptist Church Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.
