Rachel (Tatnall) Cox, 90, of Tredyffrin, passed away on Monday at her home. She was the wife of Charles H. Cox Jr.
She was born in Bryn Mawr to the late Emmett Robinson and Margaret (Felton) Tatnall. After graduating from the Shipley School, she married her husband and became a homemaker and raised her family. Rachel was a dedicated volunteer at Paoli Hospital, logging over 4000 hours of service. She also volunteered at Bryn Mawr Hospital and the Red Cross.
In addition to her husband of 63 years, she is survived by her children: Margaret O'Brien and James Bernhardt, of Chester Springs and Charles H. III and Katherine Cox, of Haverford; grandson: Andrew J. O'Brien and great-granddaughter: Rachel Emily O'Brien both of Chester Springs. A graveside service will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Mainline Animal Rescue, PO Box 89 Chester Springs, PA 19425 and to the Alzheimer's charity of your choice.
