Ralph W. Gunnett Jr., 87, husband of Diane (Howell) Gunnett, of Douglassville, formerly Arcola, passed away on Wednesday evening, May 13, 2015 in ManorCare Pottstown. From Altoona, PA, he was a son of the late Martha (Hutchinson) and Ralph W. Gunnett Sr.

Ralph served in the United States Navy during World War II. He had been employed as a laboratory technician for General Electric in King of Prussia. Ralph loved his cat, Winston, and was most importantly a family man. He also enjoyed gardening, wildlife, fishing and the Jersey shore.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Gunnett is survived by his children, Russell, husband of Debbie Gunnett, of Georgia, Carol Gunnett, of Iowa and Cheryl Gunnett, of Spring City; step-children, Ellen, wife of Chuck Wadsworth, of Douglassville, John Howell, of Arcola, Tom, husband of Rose Ann Howell, of King of Prussia, and Andy Howell, of Arcola; brother, Robert, husband of Patty Gunnett, of Wexford, PA; nineteen grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by step-sons, Tim and Steve Howell.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA. Friends will be received from 10:00-11:00 am. Condolences may be offered online at www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com.
