Obituary

Ralph L. Moses, age 80, husband of Phyllis F. Moses, of South Coventry, PA died Tuesday afternoon, October 23, 2012 in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pughtown, PA he was a son of the late Ernest C. and Edythe (Bennett) Moses. Mr. Moses was a 1950 graduate of the Warwick High School. He formerly worked for the: Texas Eastern Gas company in Eagle; The Auto Car Truck manufacturing plant in Exton; and the Devereux Foundation in West Chester.

Mr. Moses was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the "Camp Good Enough Hunting Club" in Sullivan County. He played baseball and was an umpire for the Schuylkill Valley Chapter. He also enjoyed his time at "Camp Where You Been" in Tioga County. Mr. Moses was a fox hunter and enjoyed playing cards. He was also a member of the Coventryville Trout Club.

Mr. Moses was a long term member of the Coventryville United Methodist Church where he served at various positions over the years. He was a member of the "Methodist Men" and a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Mt. Pickering Lodge.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, Mr. Moses is survived by three children: Jeffrey R. Moses, of Pottstown; Melissa M, wife of Keith Walton, of Elverson; Scott C., husband of Shelly Moses, of Birdsboro; two sisters: Betty Jean Boettger, of Kenilworth; Grace Eileen, wife of Larry Peppmeier, of Elverson; six grandchildren: Makayla Moses, Brandon & Justin Walton, Brooke, Kierstin and Megan Moses. Mr. Moses was pre-deceased by 8 siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Coventryville United Methodist Church, 1521 Old Ridge Road, Pottstown, PA 19465 on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Rick Hostetter. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6:00 - 8:30 PM Sunday evening at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washignton Street, Royersford, PA or on Monday morning from 9:30 - 10:15 AM at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the "Coventryville U.M. Church" at the above address or to the "Coventryville Trout Club", C/O Ron Ewing, 1142 East Cedarville Road, Pottstown, PA 19465.
