Ralph J. Presloid, 79, husband of Mary Jean (Bodnar) Presloid, of Oaks, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016. Born on October 24, 1936 in Spangler, PA, he was a son of the late Vincent and Veronica (Sobetsky) Presloid.


Ralph had been employed at Container Corporation of America for 27 years and later was employed at Diamond Glass. He was a long time social member of the Phoenixville Polish Club, Phoenixville Moose Lodge, West End Fire Co., Friendship Fire Co., and Valley Forge Fire Co.


Ralph was an avid football and baseball fan who loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, dining out and time spent with the staff at O'Grady's Restaurant in Phoenixville.


Mr. Presloid was the father to three children who survive him along with his wife: Kimberly A., wife of Steve Slate, of Reading, David V., husband of Janine Presloid, of Downingtown and Brian J. Presloid, of Oaks. He is also the grandfather to Kayla and Madison Slate and Robert Presloid. Also surviving him is his close friend: Irene Yanchek; and feline friend: Rudolph.


Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Ralph's honor be made to the American Cancer Society, Animal Rescue League of Berks County or a favorite charity of choice.
