Raymond B. Wismer, age 74, the loving and faithful husband of Clara L. Wismer, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at home. Born on August 25, 1944, Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond and Charlotte (Kulp) Wismer.

Ray's whole life was dedicated to loving and caring for his wonderful wife, Clara, and raising his 2 beautiful children, Christine and Peter, in the nurture of the Lord. That love extended to his 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Ray was also a committed member of Valley Forge Baptist, where he loved to serve the Lord in the choir and various other ministries. Ray also proudly served our country in the Air Force between 1964 and 1968. He loved the outdoors, gardening, music, hunting, trains, and trips to the beach. Those who knew and loved Ray would say that he loved to have fun laughing with friends and family, but most of all they would say He loved His Lord and Savior with all his heart and has truly left a wonderful Godly legacy for his family and friends.

Ray is survived by his beautiful bride of 53 years, Clara L., his daughter, Christine L. Brown, wife of Jack A. Brown of Gloucester, MA.; son, Peter R. Wismer, husband of Maureen Wismer of Spring City, PA.; his four grandchildren, Luisa M. Brown, Lauren A. Wismer, Michael J. Wismer and Megan F. Wismer; and one great-grandchild, Elijah J. Brown. Ray is predeceased by his grandchild, Matthew P. Brown.

Immediate family and friends are invited to attend Ray's Celebration of Life at Valley Forge Baptist, 616 S. Trappe Rd., Collegeville, PA on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. Visitation is at 10:00 am at the church with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Pastor Scott Wendal. A private burial will be held in Valley Forge Baptist Cemetery, Valley Forge, PA.
