Richard Lee Carns, age 63, loving husband of Lisa (Alberts) Carns of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at his home. Born on February 12, 1957 in West Chester, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Robert and Marian Carns.

Mr. Carns worked for many years for a private security company and would later go on to work as a custodian for the Great Valley School District until his retirement. Richard was also an avid collector of WWII artifacts and coins, and was also very skilled when it came to building model WWII replica planes. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling to shooting ranges and was a decorated marksman who won many competitions; he also loved traveling to the Poconos and to the shore with his family whenever he had the opportunity, and listening to jazz music. Richard was involved in many community organizations as well; he was a member of the Phoenixville Masonic Lodge as well as a member of the Phoenixville and Mont Clare Fire & Rescue Companies.

Mr. Carns is survived by his three daughters, Cassandra (Joseph) Anczarski, Christiana (Daniel Lange) Carns, and Tara Walters; two sisters, Rita Connors, and Anita Ullom; one granddaughter, Scarlett Anczarski; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family

In addition to his parents, Mr. Carns was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Carns.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Campbell‑Ennis‑Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Young. Private burial will be held in the Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard, Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Friends will be received from 10:00 am ‑ 11:00 am on Friday at the Campbell‑Ennis‑Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
