Richard L. "Dick" Mull, age 83, of Spring City, PA, passed away early Thursday morning, September 25, 2014 in the Seasons Hospice at Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA. Born in Snowdenville, PA, he was a son of the late Earl M. and Mary "Grace" (Fulmer) Mull.
Dick was drafted and played for one year for the Philadelphia Athletics, before being drafted and serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He began his career as a teacher in the Spring-Ford School District in 1957. Mr. Mull then became a principal in the Spring-Ford School District, retiring from that position in 1986. Dick was a member of the Spring-Ford Rotary Club for over 30 years, where he served as Past President. Mr. Mull also volunteered for many organizations in the area over the years.
Dick is survived by four daughters, Robin L., wife of Michael Martin of Glenmoore, PA, Rhonda L., wife of Randy Reitenauer of Whitehall, PA, Renee L., wife of Tracy Markell of Lansdale, PA, and Melissa A. Mull of Spring City, PA; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Lowell Mull.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Parker Ford Baptist Church, 92 Baptist Church Road, Parker Ford, PA 19457 on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 11:30 AM. Officiating will be David R. Willauer . Friends will be received at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 PM and on Monday at the church from 10:15-11:15 AM. There will be no viewing. Burial will be held privately in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the church at the address above.
