Richard J. Hicks, age 65, husband of Sununta (Tansala) Hicks, of Spring City , PA passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012 in the Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville . Born in Butler , PA , he was a son of the late Jay and Mary Louise (Penrod) Hicks.

Mr. Hicks was a member of Elverson United Methodist Church . He drove school bus for the Owen J. Roberts School District from 2008-2011, where he was admired by all the children. He enjoyed skydiving, scuba diving, cooking, and going to the movies.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hicks is survived by two daughters, Sangtien and Celeste Pfeiffer; one son, Michael Hicks; four brothers and two sisters; four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Elverson United Methodist Church, 32 East Main Street, Elverson, PA 19520 at 10:00 AM. Friends will be greeted at the church from 9:00-10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
