Richard Wright, Jr., age 62, of Chester Springs, PA, died Sunday evening, March 1, 2009 of natural causes in his home. Born in Phoenixville, PA he was son of the late William R. and Beatrice Wright. Mr. Wright lived in Chester County most of his life. He was owner/operator of Richard Wright Antiques. His original shop was located in Spring City, PA and was relocated to Birchrunville in 1982. Mr. Wright was well known throughout the world for his knowledge in antiques, especially antique dolls. He was a guest appraiser on the PBS Antiques Roadshow the past 11 years.
Mr. Wright is survived by Glenn Stevens, his companion of 11 years. He is also survived by his loyal employees of many years and an extended family of loving friends.
Friends will be received from 3-7PM, Wednesday at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA. A memorial service will be held this spring and announced at a later date.
