Rita A. (Gresko) Kamerdze-Hadden, 85, of Morgantown, formerly Phoenixville, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014, in the Brandywine Hospital. She was the wife of Guy T. Hadden and the late Joseph J. Kamerdze Sr., who passed away in 1992. Born in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late John S. and Cecilia (Elias) Gresko.

Rita was a 1947 graduate of Phoenixville High School. She had been employed as a clerk for the former Penske Cadillac in Kimberton. A member of St. Basil the Great R.C. Church, she was a member of the women’s club and the choir. Rita was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting and counter cross stitch and had also been a member of the AARP and the Morgantown Lions Club.

In addition to her husband, Rita is survived by 10 children, Joseph J. Kamerdze Jr., husband of Laura, of Morgantown, John P. Kamerdze, of California, Guy Hadden Jr., Margaret Hadden,
Elizabeth Hadden-Roberts, Gregory Hadden, Kathleen Hadden Hershey, Gary Hadden, Colleen Hadden and Grant Hadden; sister, Gertrude Dawson, of Phoenixville; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James P. Kamerdze.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass at St. Basil the Great R.C. Church, 2300 Kimberton Road, Kimberton, PA, on Friday, November 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Gary T. Pacitti. Interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Rita’s name to St. Basil the Great R.C. Church, 2300 Kimberton Road, Kimberton, PA 19442.
