Robert A. Boyer, age 66, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 06, 2007, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.? He was the loving husband of Gail E. (Kratz) Boyer for 46 years.? Born in East Greenville, PA, he was a son of the late Harold L. and Minna E. (Hoffman) Boyer.?
Mr. Boyer was a 1958 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School.? He was a member of the Baptist Church of Phoenixville, where he was the former Treasurer for 7 years, and presently the financial secretary.? He was employed as furniture salesman for the former McCarrahers Furniture in Phoenixville, for 20 years until its closing, then by several furniture stores, until his retirement in 2006.? Mr. Boyer was an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Robert D. Lapp Jr. Memorial Lodge #66 (Lancaster/Chester PSP), enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.?
In addition to his wife, Mr. Boyer is survived by; daughter, Debbie L., wife of Michael Wilson, of Pottstown, son Keith A., husband of Carolyn Boyer, of Limerick, and five grandchildren.?
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Baptist Church of Phoenixville, Gay and Church Streets, Phoenixville on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 10 AM.? Officiating will be the Rev.? Brent D. Miller. ?Interment will be in the New Goshenhoppen Church Cemetery, East Greenville.? Friends may call from 9-10 AM at the Church.?
