Robert J. Connelly, age 68, loving husband of June L. (Faust) Connelly, of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Born on September 25, 1952 in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Grace A. (Wagner) and John J. Connelly, Jr.
A 1970 graduate of Spring-Ford High School, Bob received his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Pennsylvania State University in 1974. He had been employed for many years as a program security specialist for Lockheed Martin. In addition, he volunteered with the Friendship Fire Department and Ambulance in Royersford and the Trappe Fire and Ambulance.
Bob was very easy going and enjoyed the simple things in life. He especially loved being outdoors, and in years past, loved hunting with his father and family. But, his great love and passion was fishing, especially surf fishing with his wife on the beach in Island Beach State Park and the Outer Banks. He also had a passion for gardening and would grow a little bit of everything, always sharing the bounty with neighbors, family and friends. He also had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his dogs Ginger and Ghetel.
Bob had a heart of gold and nothing ever ruffled his feathers. He was very giving and caring to everyone he crossed paths with over the years. He was a great "big" brother and generous Uncle. He loved and valued the friendships he had developed with his neighbors and co-workers over the years.
In addition to his loving wife of 44 years, Bob is survived by his step-sons,: Kevin L., husband of Patti Faulkner, of Dunn, NC, Randy T. Faulkner, of Boyertown and Robert Matthew Faulkner, of Sanatoga; brothers: John D., husband of Carol Connelly, of Douglassville and James P., husband of Beth Connelly, of Limerick; nephews and niece: Mark, Sean, Ryan and Erin.
