Obituary

Robert E. Cook, age 85, husband of the late Evelyn J. (Welsh) Cook, of Audubon, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Adam E. and Bessie E. (Snethen) Cook.

Mr. Cook served in the United States Army. He graduated from the Murrell Dobbins Vocational Technical School (Philadelphia) in 1950 and also took many college level classes in the late 1950's and 1960's. He retired from Visteon, a spin off from the Ford Motor Company, where he worked as an electronics technician responsible for keeping the production line up and running. Mr. Cook was a do-it-yourself electrician, plumber, carpenter, auto mechanic and handyman in general, fixing anything that needed service and building things. One of his favorite sayings was " I have things to do". He also enjoyed camping with the family and spending time with his grandsons.

Mr. Cook is survived by two sons, Glenn R. Cook, of New Jersey, and Wayne G. Sr., husband of Lori (Yerger) Cook, of Eagleville, PA; and two grandchildren, Wayne G. Cook Jr. and Kyle T. Cook.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in the Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00-10:30 AM.
