Robert B. "Barry" Drummond, age 70, husband of Karen L. (Kircher) Drummond, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at home. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Robert E. and Rhoda A. (Barlow) Drummond.
Mr. Drummond was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, and attended Temple University. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Phoenixville. He retired in 2009 after 21 years working for Amtrak as a railroad mechanic. Barry enjoyed drag racing, trains, and working in his yard. He loved family vacations to Ocean City, NJ and Nags Head, NC, and traveling with his grandchildren to Disney World.
Mr. Drummond is survived by two children, Jennifer L., wife of Joseph Tatoris of Kimberton, PA and Robert S., husband of Nikki Drummond of Royersford; two brothers, John, husband of Annmarie Drummond of Coatesville and William Drummond of Phoenixville; four grandchildren, Declan and Cady Tatoris and Olivia and Alex Drummond; one niece and one nephew.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the First Presbyterian Church of Phoenixville, 145 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 12:00 PM. Officiating will be the Rev. Doug Hagler. Burial will take place privately in the Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard, Valley Forge, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the church at the address above or to Main Line Home Care and Hospice, 240 N. Radnor Chester Road, Radnor, PA 19087.
