Robert Dyer Sr, age 94, husband of the late Ruth J. (Himmel) Dyer, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in Phoenixville Hospital. Born on January 1, 1927 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Mary (Knight) and Alfred E. Dyer.
Robert served in the United States Army and was stationed in Japan in 1946 after World War II. He had been employed with ATandT for 37 years before his retirement and had been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Phoenixville. Robert enjoyed collecting coins and trips to the casinos. He was an avid baseball fan, who loved The Phillies and attending games since the Connie Mack Stadium era.
Robert is survived by a son: Daniel Dyer, of Phoenixville. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Robert D. Dyer and siblings: Mildred Powell, Wesley Dyer and Al Dyer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 11:00 am, at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville. Officiating will be the Rev. Wayne R. Shelor. Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Huntingdon Valley. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
