Robert F. "Bob" Barnes, age 94, husband of the late Elizabeth Barnes, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in the Wayne Center, Wayne, PA. Born on December 26, 1927 in Royersford, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur Sherwood and Elizabeth (Brownback) Barnes.

Bob was a 1945 graduate of Phoenixville High School and married the love of his life, Betty, on September 10, 1949. He served in the Navy in the Pacific in 1947 and 1948. Bob then worked for 45 years in various businesses including the local companies Phoenix Steel and the West Company where he was an early adapter of computerizing businesses accounting functions. Bob enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, golfing, fishing, watching sports, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Bob is survived by three children, Jane A., wife of the late Frank Paris of Chester Springs, PA, Robert S., husband of Sharon Barnes of Malvern, PA, and Jeffrey R. Barnes of Phoenixville, PA; two grandchildren, Scott Paris and Laura, wife of Dan Shadow; two great-grandsons, Ben and Jack; sister Elizabeth Caimi and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen Barnes and Richard Barnes; and two sisters, Ruth Herbert and Mary Jane Blydenburgh.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service for both Bob and Betty at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. James R. Roth. Burial will be private. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.
