Robert Allen Harwood Sr. (Bob), age 76, of Royersford, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at Phoenixville Hospital surrounded by family.

Bob was born September 24th, 1948, and was a 1967 graduate of Spring-Ford High School. He retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief Aviation Machinist after 24 years of service, then worked as an engineer for the Ramada Hotel for 15 years. Bob then worked alongside his son doing electrical work before he fully retired.

Bob was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and a reader of history. Bob also enjoyed model railroading and airplanes.

With Bob's carpentry skills, he built a pier out to the Florida Keys and had the ability to turn a house into a home for his wife and children.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Sr. and Evelyn M. (Reed) Harwood, his siblings, Charles E. Harwood Jr., Carol Dinnocenti, and Leslie (William) Hildebidle, and his grandson, Nathan J. Harwood.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bob will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Bob leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories for his wife of 56 years, Maria (Delores) Harwood, and children, Deborah (Eric) Lessnau and grandchildren, Jessica (Thomas) Laverghetta, Marissa, and Caden, his great-grandchildren, Olivia Laverghetta and her sibling who's due in August. His son, Robert Jr. (Brandy) Harwood and grandchildren, Allen, Robert III, Tobiaz, Meadow, Ean, Elijah, Ethon, Willow, Hartley, Sparrow, Connor, and Colton. His daughter, Christina (Jason) Hartzell and grandchildren, Ariana (Jahmel) Barnes, Andrew, and Elena. Bob's cousin, Joan (Butch) Miller, as well as nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, Pennsylvania, on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 a.m. at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home.
