Robert B. Kehler Sr., age 76, husband of Ess (Searfoss) Kehler of Spring City, Pennsylvania, lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 21, 2024 surrounded by his family. Born on February 10, 1948, in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Mary (Huber) and Clinton Perry Kehler.

A graduate of Phoenixville High School, Bob honorably served as a helicopter mechanic in the United States Army. Stationed in Chu Lai, Vietnam, Bob was proud to have his name inscribed on the Phoenixville War Memorial Vietnam Roll of Honor in Reeves Park.

Bob loved and was proud of his work at Spring Hollow Golf Course, Spring City, where he continued to work up until his passing. He helped break ground and build the golf course and later took care of grounds maintenance. He was always tinkering or building things.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Bob loved hunting upstate, time spent at the beach in Cape May, NJ, and trips to the casinos. He loved gardening, loved classic cars and attending car shows, watching the Phillies and A Christmas Story, which was his favorite movie, and hated his cell phone.

Most importantly, however, Bob loved time spent with family and friends. He looked forward to nightly games of Upwards with his wife, time with his grandchildren, and sipping a scotch with family and friends.

In addition to his loving wife of 20 years, Bob is survived by his children: Robert Kehler Jr., Becki Kehler, and Ashley Kehler; step-son: Jeff (JoAnn) Stewart; grandchildren: Jack, Ryan, Colin, Vivianna, Toby, Jake, Collin, Brian, and Natalie; siblings: Jerrie (John) Serdy, Richard (Ruth) Kehler, Midge (Roland) Amell, Lyla (John) Harrington, and Patricia (the late Francis) Fabish; in-laws: Arthur and Ethel Searfoss; sisters-in-law: Marlene, Diane, and Carla; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by step-son: Dave Stewart; and sister: June Kulcsar; and nephew: David Kulcsar.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford. Officiating will be the Rev. Jenny Smith. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
