Robert W. "Bob" Mackey, Sr., 66, of Pottstown, PA and formerly of Royersford, passed away on Sunday morning surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Orpha K. (Sickles) Mackey and the late Betty Jane (Powell) Mackey, who passed away in 1994.

Bob was born in West Chester to the late Paul and Catherine (Furlong) Mackey. He was employed for many years as a press operator at E.L. Gruber. He was last employed for fifteen years in environmental services at Parkhouse Providence Pointe until his retirement in 2008. He was a life member of Friendship Hook and Ladder Fire Company, Royersford.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Robert W. Jr., husband of RoseMarie, of Douglassville; Connie Schnovel and Darlene A., husband of Michael Matta, of Royersford; his grandchildren: Heather Geider, Jennifer Mackey, Tara Phillips, Tanya Schnovel and Kimberly Matta; a great-granddaughter Hannah Lee Geider; sister: Marie Biedeman, widow of Charles, of Royersford and step-grandson: Matthew Walters.

His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, Beech and Hanover Sts., Pottstown, Pa on Wednesday at 10 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Angelo Hernandez. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories. A viewing will be held on Wednesday morning from 8-9 AM at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., Royersford, PA .
