Robert Scott Oberholtzer "Obie", age 67, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Born on June 26, 1954 in Norristown, PA, he was a son of the late Alfred Oberholtzer and Martha (Donley) Oberholtzer.
Bobby was a 1972 graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School. He had an intelligent mind and excelled in his education. During high school, he won a state award in mathematics, which was honored through a gold plaque that hung in the principal’s office. He also graduated from Florida State with a B.A. He loved life, traveled the world and he also loved taking cruises. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed the many activities associated with Center City life in Philadelphia. He also lived in NYC, Cincinnati, Tampa, London and Dallas.
Mr. Oberholtzer is survived by three sisters, Dawn, wife of Scott McDermott of Washington Crossing, PA, Donna, wife of Jake Lentz of Collegeville, PA, Starr, wife of Dillon Ross of Collegeville, PA; fourteen nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by three brothers, Gary Oberholtzer, Craig Oberholtzer and Bruce Oberholtzer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral ceremony at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. You may greet the family at 12:30 pm and service begins at 1:00 pm. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Scott McDermott. Burial will be held in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA.
