Robert L. Pennell, age 57, husband of Patricia (Phipps) Pennell, of Phoenixville, PA passed away suddenly on Wednesday morning, May 23, 2012. Born in West Chester, PA , he was a son of the late George M. and Hannah A. (Boyd) Pennell.

Mr. Pennell was a graduate of Great Valley High School. He was employed by Johnson Matthey Inc. in West Chester. Among his hobbies, Mr. Pennell enjoyed classic cars, and building model and remote control airplanes and helicopters. He also loved to spend time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Pennell is survived by two daughters, Cynthia J. and Samantha G. Pennell, both at home; two sisters, Lois Pennell of Malvern and Georgia Hughes of Franklin, TN; one brother, Don, husband of Lorraine Pennell of Downingtown, PA; and seven nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Limerick Chapel, 378 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, PA 19468 on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Peters. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received at the church from 1:00-2:00 PM.
