Robert S. Fisher Sr., 74, husband of Frances E. (Scavitto) Fisher, of Phoenixville, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday evening, March 19, 2015. Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late William D. and Rose (Batman) Fisher.
Mr. Fisher was formerly employed at Synthane Taylor for 20 years and then for 9 years at Oakwood Manor Apartments. He had been a former member of Centennial Lutheran Church and had occasionally attended St. Ann Church with his wife and daughter. Robert enjoyed bike riding, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, and hiking, but most importantly liked to have fun.
In addition to his loving wife of 31 years, Mr. Fisher is survived by his children, Marietta Fisher, of Phoenixville, Robert S. Fisher Jr., of Bridgeville, DE, Cynthia Lorenz, of Marlton, NJ, and Dorothy Mowrer, of Emmaus; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William, David and Edward Fisher.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to support Acute Myelogenous Leukemia research at Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center by mailing donations to Penn Medicine Development, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
