Obituary

Robert K. Salamone, 55, of Phoenixville, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, in the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was the husband of Diana C. (Branca) Salamone, originally from Norristown. Born in the Valley Forge Military Hospital, he was a son of Kathryn McGill of East Norriton and the late Robert S. Salamone.

Mr. Salamone served in the United States Army and had been stationed in West Berlin, Germany. He was employed as a diesel mechanic for SEPTA and had been a former volunteer firefighter at Phoenixville Fire Department. He was an avid football fan, especially of the Eagles, enjoyed hunting with his brothers, and was a handyman, always working on some type of home improvement. He also enjoyed spending time around his fireplace and with his dogs.

In addition to his wife and mother, Robert is survived by his children, Angeleah M. and Nicholas R. Salamone, both of Phoenixville; stepson, Thomas Reinert III, of Norristown; brothers, Samuel, husband of Kristin Salamone, of Philadelphia and Matthew, husband of Lisa Salamone, of Pittsburgh; maternal grandmother, Kathryn Woodard, of Florida; uncle, John Salamone, of Washington, PA; stepmother, Agnes Salamone, of Wallingford; stepsister, Noel Willette, of Wallingford; brothers-in-law, Anthony, husband of Lisa Branca, of Norristown and Andrew, husband of Tina Branca, of Norristown; sister-in-law, Denise Branca, of Norristown; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Thomas Salamone.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Sunday, October 26, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. Friends will be received from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to the Laurel House, P.O.
