Robert E. Scheffey, age 90, husband of Elizabeth (Gruff) Scheffey, of East Pikeland Township, died Thursday morning, April 2, 2009 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late John D., and Amelia (Schrack) Scheffey. He attended school in Phoenixville. Mr. Scheffey retired from the Roberts Food Packing Company in Kimberton, PA. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Phoenixville.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Scheffey is survived by one daughter; Sandra S., wife of David C. Howe, of Douglassville, PA, one grandson; John R., husband of Melissa Howe, of Gilbertsville, two great-grandchildren; Matthew D., and Allison N. Howe, both at home in Gilbertsville.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Monday morning, April 6, 2009 at 10:30AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Christopher L. Weidner. Burial will be in the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA. Friends will be received from 9-10:30AM, Monday morning at the funeral home.
