Robert F. Wilson Sr., age 82, husband of the late Patricia A. (Johnson) Wilson, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 in the Coatesville VA Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Helen Wilson.
Mr. Wilson served in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Corporal and earning the National Defense Service Medal. He worked at Boeing in Chester, PA as a member of the United Automakers Union, fabricating helicopter blades for 50 years, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed building model ships and giving big squeezes to his children and grandchildren. Mr. Wilson was a passionate Eagles fan, who loved spending time with his family, and took great pride in his yard and property. His children will always be able to laugh at the way he would mix up their names, even replacing their names with the dog's name or of some random person!
Mr. Wilson is survived by five children, Diane Tait of Honeybrook, Debbie, wife of Allen Brodowski of Coatesville, Sandy Obendorfer, wife of Jim Prosser of Spring City, Kathy, wife of Randy Vogt of Philadelphia, and Robert Wilson Jr. of Malvern; one sister, Carol Harding; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Phoenixville.
