Rocco J. "Rocky" Donatelli, 79, husband of the late Ann C. (Rogers) Donatelli, of Valley Forge, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Donato and Julia (Toci) Donatelli.
Mr. Donatelli was a graduate of St. Thomas More High School, received a Bachelors Degree from LaSalle University and did post graduate education at the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University. He was employed as Chief Probation Officer for the City of Philadelphia for 38 years until his retirement. Rocky was a member of the Sons of Italy, the Knights of Columbus and the Chad Moore Social Club in South Philadelphia. He loved to cook, enjoyed reading and studying several languages.
Mr. Donatelli is survived by his daughters, Kyran, wife of Brian Keating, of Exton, Peachy, wife of Domenic Colleluori, of Valley Forge, and Judi, wife of Dave Dunmire, of Nottingham, three sons, Daniel, husband of Michele Donatelli, of Kimberton, Buddy, husband of Paula Donatelli, of Pottstown, and Frank, husband of Diane Donatelli, of Valley Forge, 19 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at the St. Ann's Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, Pa, on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Saban. Interment will follow at the National Christian Conference Center, Valley Forge. Friends will be received from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the Chapel.
